| God is faithful and unchanging. His mercies are new every morning and His love endures forever. |
| Barnard Castle. The shop continues to be a blessing. The team are enjoying the new layout and pleased that there are no stairs to climb. Praise the Lord. May God continue to bless the ministry in Barnard Castle and to guide Maurice and the team as they face the year 2012 |
| Warrington. October 2011 was their best month in sales since Book Aid opened in 2009. Praise God for all who have bought books to enable the shipment of books to go overseas. Prayer is needed for their main volunteer (Keith) who is recovering from surgery. They need to see God also bring in more helpers to assist in the shop |
| Wisbech. Pete was slowed down due to ill health. Thank God he is feeling stronger. Ranskill needs to see more stock being processed and palletised for onward shipment overseas. Praise God for the start and enabling so far. |
|
London (Bromley House). Praise God the books and customers continue to arrive to the warehouse and bookshop. The Book Aid outlet in CLC London bookshop has also done well and it has been a blessing to work alongside with them in their shop |

Northern Ireland writes “Being a small country, we find that sometimes we run out of books to sort. Then the volunteers all pray for an avalanche and before very long we are inundated with requests to collect books from all over the country. This week we travelled to the South of Ireland, to a town south of Dublin, where we collected twenty boxes of books and had fellowship with our collectors Louis and Liz. We have also collected quite a lot of Bibles from two churches at opposite ends of the country, along with multiple small amounts of books from many different people, including retired ministers which we particularly enjoy receiving. Please thank God for safety during the hundreds of miles travelled”. Eight pallets of donated books are ready for shipping to Ranskill |
| Ranskill writes “We thank the Lord for all the unsaved people that come into the shop as it’s a wonderful opportunity to share the good news about Jesus. Please pray for the seed sown. Also please pray for more helpers in Ranskill as we move on with sending more containers overseas |
| West Country. Stuart and Andy are based in Chippenham with a Book Aid van and do mammoth job picking up tons of donated Christian books and Bibles in the West Country and South Wales. Pray for additional help to cover holidays etc. |
| Container Shipments. Our monthly shipments have slowed down. We have plenty of donated Christian books and Bibles stored and stacked in both London and Ranskill but we lack “selectors” with knowledge of suitable titles for overseas. Pray that we can soon see the flow continue and increase |

Book
Houses in Africa.
With the slow down of containers we are not able to meet the demand for
a regular flow of suitable books that are needed. We have had this
project before us for some years but it is not moving as quickly as we
first hoped. Psalm 119:26 in the Living Translation might explain this
situation. “I told you my plans and you answered. Now teach me your
principles”. Amen!
|
| Nigeria. Edwin has been on the receiving end of many containers we have shipped over the years. He has made numerous visits to the UK and hopes to come this month for his daughter’s graduation. This will give us the opportunity for fellowship and updating our programme |
| Kenya writes “Please pray with us. University lecturers in public universities are on strike and therefore boycotted teaching. The Government has declared the strike illegal. The lecturers are adamant they want a pay increase and so some public universities have already closed and sent students home. This may greatly affect our mobilizing the students for the Conference at the end of December 2011. We are doing everything possible to ensure that we realise out target numbers even in the circumstances”. |
| Christmas. Christ our Saviour is born. Praise God for another year to celebrate His birthday. May Christmas 2011 be a joyous and wonderful time for all at Book Aid, for all friends, donors, collectors and overseas contacts. God bless you all |
