Frequently Asked Questions 1. What type of books do you need?
What Types Of Books Do You Need? For our overseas program we are looking for the
following books only: Unfortunately we are unable to use secular books; school text books; dated reading notes/ Sunday School material; Magazines; Hymn Books or music media (CD's, Videos, Cassette Tapes)
How Do You Cope With The Language Difficulties? The vast majority of places that we work with are or once formed part of the British Commonwealth. Therefore English is one of their major languages.
How can I get my books to you? We have a network of almost 200 collecting points all over the UK. These people are the backbone of our ministry. Wherever you live there is going to be somebody close by who will receive the books and Bibles on our behalf. They then get them into one of our warehouses where they are selected to go overseas. Use the 'Collectors' link at the left of the page to see where your nearest collection point is.
Can someone come and collect the books from me? As a rule our 'collectors' do not come out and collect the books as they themselves lead very busy lives. It is always best to talk with them and see if you can come to an arrangement.
Can I leave books at your second-hand bookshops? Your book donations can be left at our London, Ranskill and Templepatrick shops only. You can also leave books at our Wisbech warehouse.
